ScruTiny in the Great Round is a captivating and hypnotic interactive experience based on a $1,700 handmade, limited-edition, book of collage art by New York-based artist Tennessee Rice Dixon. Brought to life in collaboration with multimedia designer Jim Gasperini and composer Charlie Morrow, ScruTiny offers a totally new way to think about and interact with art. Considered "the first full-length work in an art form for the 21st century," this unique CD-ROM title incorporates Dixon's images depicting the ebb and flow of life with an eclectic mix of poetry and music.
Like most art, the experience of ScruTiny resists description. Reaction to the title is personal for each user, male or female, young or old, who embarks on this individual spiritual journey. The richness of the collages, infused with the flowing images and 3-D elements, allow users to interact with the title over and over without replicating their experiences.
ScruTiny was awarded the 1996 Milia d'Or Grand Prix. Presented in Cannes on Feb. 11, 1996, this award recognizes outstanding achievement by interactive works published in 1995. For more information about the award, read our announcement on-line.
